Well, here is a little contribution from me—from Javi, that is.  Mom got some pictures of me being super-cute..as usual, so I thought you’d enjoy them.  The overalls pics, well, I wasn’t the picture of happiness, but mom thought the pic still cute enough to merit a post.

We are doing pretty well here.  Dad has about one more week before his semester gets underway, so we are enjoying him being around….and Ezri and I have found that he is a great indoor alternative to the playground!  You can climb on him…jump on him…and off of him…..he swings you around….and I don’t know…..maybe I could even slide down him–now that’s  one I’ll have to try!

What else?..Oh, yes, I have about 5 new teeth cutting through right now, so we’ll all be glad when those babies are in for good.  It is a bit painful teething, and it sometimes makes me awaken during the night….needless to say, mom and I will both be grateful when I have all of my teeth.

Well, friends and fam, we love you guys….and, on this very first day of the lunar new year (Chinese New Year), we wish you a fabulous year of the Ox!

Cooking with Mickey…an entry by Ezri

Well, as you now know (from the previous entries here), I met Mickey Mouse last week at Hong Kong Disneyland.  We’re pals now.  It was fabulous to get to meet Mickey and the whole gang.  I have a miniature Mickey at my house that my great-Grandmother Vanetta got me for my birthday (Thanks Grandmother!)….So, one day this week, Mickey and I decided to get to cookin’ with some play-dough.  We had lots of fun.  With mommy’s help, I even made Mickey an ice cream to eat (see photo).  I like cooking…I think it must be great fun to create new things and serve them up…..and I really like “little chef”—that’s what I call Ratatouille.  I could watch that movie over and over…and over again!  Oh, along with last week’s pics. of our cooking fun, I’m adding a few cooking photos from a while back (I think I was around 18 months old).  These were taken one day when I really helped mommy make banana bread…delicious! (“That’s delicious!”–is actually one of my favorite new phrases when eating!)

Well, enjoy.  I’ll tell Javi to get on here and post a few photos of himself too…I think we’ve got some new ones.

See ya’ real soon,   Ezri

Disney Recap

So, we are now back home from our Disney excursion.  We all had a great time, as you can see from the pictures posted above.  It was a pretty stress-free vacation, actually.  Jason and I questioned whether or not our parents were able to enjoy Disney so much when we went as children….they had to drive 13+ hours to get there….find the hotel where we were staying….commute daily to the park….and the lines were crazy!!!  (Mom and dad, we hope you had fun!!!)  Our experience here in HK was great b/c our transport was train-only (2 hours door to door…and we live on the opposite side of HK from Disney), we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, and rode their shuttle to and from the park, which was so nice and carefree, and the longest we waited for any ride was around 20 minutes…most waits were 5-10 minutes at most!!!  We would highly recommend this trip for families with young kids.  Ezri has just turned two, and–being a fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse–absolutely loved it.  Javi (nearly 17 mo.) is less into the characters and shows on a whole, but still really enjoyed it.  His favorite was the Cinderella Carousel.  He was soooo upset when we got him off of the horse!  And, the only ride in the entire park that a two-year-old cannot ride is space mountain….so that’s pretty family-geared, I’d say.

What else…..Ezri loved meeting the characters…and by the second day of our trip, Javi was recognizing them too—they would both get very excited when the shuttle bus drove up with all the characters’ pictures on the side!  Once, while Jason and the kids were waiting on me to arrive at the shuttle stop, a shuttle left without them and Ezri actually began to cry b/c she thought we’d been left…no chance of getting to DisneyLand!!!  On our last full day at the hotel, we also went for a swim.  We were excited b/c this would be Javi’s first time to swim in a pool!  They had these tiny life jackets, so we suited the kids up.  Javi was freezing…shivering.  He was stiff as a board!  He didn’t hate it, but he is definitely not the fish that Ezri is!  Next time we’ll try a warmer pool, Jav.

All in all, a great trip and time well spent as a family.

A note from Javi

So, it’s 2009….my second year of live is well in-swing and with this year comes many new roles for me as a little guy in the Case family.  As you will see from my above portfolio of snazzy photos, I have been busy…I wear many hats around here.  Some of the “Javi’s” you may not notice, (but perhaps I can have mom work on catching on camera), include: handsome Javi, incredibly strong Javi, javi the brother, hungry Javi….and hilarious Javi.

You will note, however, the artist photos; that’s right…today I tried my hand at coloring for the first time.  Well, to be completely honest, I gave it a go a few weeks back, but the  crayons kept finding their way into my mouth and left the coloring page rather bare!  I must admit that the little turqiois stick did look scruptious!  What else….oh, yes–me with a microphone.  That would be my sister’s Christmas gift, but she is becoming a ’sharer’, so it’s cool.  I like to get on the mic. and do a little ditty now and again…mostly something like this: “Ahhhhh…..uhhhhhh…..ma ma ma ma….ahhhhhhh!!!”  And let me draw your attention to some “Sweatin’ to The Oldies” photos.  This, I can explain: I had on this sweat suit….we were just playing around…me and dad.  Ezri had a head band on…everyone was just having so much fun, so I thought–what the hay…why not wear a purple headband for a moment or two?!!!

Hope you enjoy the photos…I know mom enjoys taking them and sharing the funny moments of the Case household with you all out there!!!

love, Javi
