So Michael Gungor, an artist from Denver Colorado visited Hong Kong this weekend.  Watermark and The Vine sponsored some outreach events on Friday and Saturday.  Gungor also shared about Bloom, his church plant in Denver during the day on Saturday.  We went to the show on Saturday and had a great time.  Check him out if you haven’t yet.

Compass Sunday with Mel and Kids – 2012

Posted in Daily Life Blurbs, Watermark Church HK by Jason Case on April 26, 2012

The Sunday before last, Watermark had its first Compass Sunday which was a look back at where we’ve been, a look at where we’re at now, and a look at where we want to go.  We also had a church luncheon after the service.  Afterward, Ezri, Javi and I went to Pacific Place Mall to do some shopping for Mel’s B-day.  The kids Easter outfits arrive a week late but you know I had to take some pics of them anyway.

The Hammonds Farewell Celebration – Watermark Church

Josh and Patricia Hammond played a crucial role in the prayer, planning, launch and stability of Watermark church.  The Hammonds are missionaries for the General Baptist denomination and are returning home to Evansville, IN for training and fundraising until the end of the year when they then will be going to the Philippines for two years to train up pastors.  They will be dearly missed by all who have gotten to know them the past few years.  We had a farewell celebration at the Aberdeen Boat Club last Saturday.

Watermark Kid’s – Passion Stations, 2012

Posted in Watermark Church HK by Jason Case on April 15, 2012

The hope for the Easter Egg hunt is to build new relationships and give people an opportunity to hear the gospel.  This year Melanie introduced passion stations for the kids to hear the gospel story and to receive items to place in their eggs as reminders.  1. Triumphal Entry- Donkey pics or Palm Branches, 2. Passover – Cheerios, 3. Cross – Cross Sticker, 4. Jesus is Alive – Chocolate Egg, 5. Jesus Will Come Again – Cotton Ball

Over a month of preparation and prayer, Melanie ending a long day
