Trip to Hong Kong Central Library

The HK central library is located near Causeway Bay across from Victoria Park.  Hong Kong has a good public library system with branches in almost every neighborhood.  We’d never been to the central branch, but we’re housesitting near there so we thought this would be a good excursion.  We made it down there ok however I had only taken a few pics in the library when security notified me that indoor photography wasn’t allowed.  As much as it upset me, getting a library card and checking out their nice world music section helped to redeem the day.  They have a Delifransse cafe at the library so we got some lunch there, then walked back down to the Tin Hau station about 3 blocks away and got a mini-bus back up to where we’re currently staying.  I snapped a few pics of the kids favorite activity (watching t.v.), then a few outside the library, but that’s about it unfortunately.  The library is pretty nice, 10 floors, with a decent english selection.  They also have what is called the Toy Library which seems to be a glorified playroom that is free of charge however you have to make reservations 6 days in advance if you want to go.  We saw it and it looked like it would be great for little ones.
