Meeting the Kids; Introducing Ethan & Hellen!!!

Posted in ETHAN's Escapades, HELLEN's High Notes by jpcase01 on October 28, 2013

These pics are from the 1st night we met and the 1st Sunday we spent together.  The 1st meeting was rough, Mel & I were exhausted from the 20 hour flight from Hong Kong, then 3 1/2 hour drive from the airport (Entebbe) to Jinja.  The kids were exhausted because we arrived way past their bedtime.  Hellen is not very used to Mzungu (white) men, so they sat her on my lap and she started balling.  We went back with them over to the orphanage while they had a bit to eat.  The next day we went to church together where I made some major inroads with Ethan by using my chapstick and iPhone (who doesn’t like to have their picture taken?).  Mel was able to start connecting with Hellen. We also introduced to their 1st baby Einstein.  If you pay close attention to them as we progress hopefully you will witness the explosion of emotion that we have been able to experience with them over the past few weeks.

We appreciate it. We’re still waiting to hear on the kids’ passports. We ran into your mom there, how freaky is that?
